Welcome to Evergreen Cottage.
Richmond historic hill town of Richmond, the Dales and North Yorkshire
A delightful cottage (c1850) in the historic, hill town of Richmond. This timeless cottage is beautifully furnished and well equipped to create an inviting and relaxing retreat. Situated on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and Coast to Coast path, with riverside walks on the doorstep, it is an ideal base to explore the landscapes and history of the northern dales and North Yorkshire. All the amenities of Richmond are just minutes from the front door. Charming, unique and cosy; Evergreen is an authentic, beautifully furnished and well equipped classic cottage. The cottage has a glorious view of Richmond Castle and surrounding woods, which you can enjoy over breakfast, with a pretty cottage garden to the rear which includes a garden table and chairs, a BBQ for the summer and a happy community of garden birds. You may hear Tawny owls around the cottage in the evenings. At the front of the property there is also a bench from which you can enjoy a view of the castle. Access for drop off and loading is available at the front of the cottage, with off street parking within easy walking distance. The naturally hilly local terrain provides glorious views and outstanding landscapes.Explore the unspoilt scenery of North Yorkshire and the Dales with imposing castles, fascinating ruined abbeys, spectacular waterfalls, little villages and traditional Swaledale Inns. On the ground floor, the sitting room has a woodburning stove for winter evenings, comfortable sofas, a small number of books and traditional games, plus smart TV and radio. The spacious kitchen/dining room is well equipped and the dining table seats four people. There are views from the windows towards the castle at the front and onto the garden at the rear. On the first floor, the main bedroom has a super king bed, exposed beams and windows on two sides. The pretty second bedroom has a king size bed. Both rooms have radios and smart TV. A hairdryer, ample wardrobe space, iron and ironing board and clothes rack are available. The small family shower room and WC is upstairs, at the end of the landing. It includes a dual headed shower with a good supply of hot water and complimentary toiletries. All the rooms, except the shower room, have a view over to the castle and the main rooms also have a view of the garden. "Our aim is to provide an attractive, relaxing retreat."
