Welcome to Home Farm Holiday Cottages (The Arches and The Stables) in the attractive North Yorkshire village of Slingsby. Nestling in the shelter of the Howardian hills and only 3 miles from Castle Howard, one of Britain's finest stately homes, the cottages are an ideal base for a relaxing holiday and visiting the North Yorks Moors National Park, the Yorkshire Dales and the North Yorkshire Coast. The city of York is only 18 miles away. Other local attractions include Flamingoland Zoo and theme park and Eden Camp, the Second World War museum.

There are many footpaths and bridleways close to and leading from the village which offer plenty of opportunities for walking and cycling. Slingsby has its own ruined castle, a renowned country pub and a children's play park. The Arches (sleeps 4) and The Stables (sleeps 6) have been tastefully converted from old farm buildings and retain many of the original features, exposed wooden beams and attractive stonework. Both cottages are on the ground floor with The Stables having ramped access.

The cottages are furnished and equipped to a very high standard offering comfort and peace. Both cottages have oil fired central heating, in addition The Stables has a wood burning stove and The Arches an open fire so offer cosy winter getaways.

We welcome families, cots and high chairs being available on request. Free wifi is available. Stephen and Rachel live on site and are delighted to offer help and advise about places to visit and things to do.
