About Bumblebee Cottage | |||
![]() Welcome to Bumblebee Cottage, the holiday cottage of hosts Jon and Jeanine. Bumblebee Cottage offers superb 2-bedroom luxury self-catering accommodation in the heart of the market town of Pickering, North Yorkshire. Bumblebee Cottage is a truly charming cottage with two bedrooms, sleeping 5 (king-size room and a second room with a shared, double bed and a single bed), as well as a walk-in shower room. This cottage offers a stunning lounge with log burner, coupled with a smart TV with Sky, Sky Movies , Netflix and Amazon prime. Smart speakers and Wi-Fi are also included. There is a fully-fitted kitchen/diner with double oven , dishwasher and washing machine. A slow cooker is available, if desired, during your stay. There is a large front garden, with patio for seating and outdoor dining. There is also a lawned area. Off-street parking is available for up to 4 cars behind electric gates with an electric car charging point (7.2kw type 2 electric vehicle charger). One vehicle can park off the street in front of the gates too.
To the rear of the property there is a secure garage and parking for bicycles and motorbikes alike. There is also a drying area for walking gear as well. All of these excellent facilities are located within walking distance of the centre of Pickering, where you’ll find many bars, restaurants and shops. Pickering has a castle, which dates from the 13th century and has, over time, been a royal hunting lodge, holiday home and a stud farm by a succession of medieval kings. It is also the home of the world famous North Yorkshire Moors Railway, which operates the route from Pickering to Whitby. This is an immensley popular tourist attraction as well as major film location too. Regrettably Bumblebee Cottage cannot accommodate any pets, or children under 5 years old, due to health and safety policies. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
