About Yorkshire Dales Brewery | ||||
Innovative Beers since 2005. The Best Craft Brewer in the Yorkshire Dales... Fiercely Independent, we only supply the finest ale houses! From the outset we have brewed Hop led session ales, Smoked Porters, Big IPA's. We have created when many have followed. After 11 years of brewing we have had over 500 individual recipes crafted and brewed, and we don't intend to stop now. Whilst we continue to brew the finest local beers in the Yorkshire Dales and always have the firm favourites available, not a week goes by without another new beer poring out of the Fermenters. Many brewers are following the same old brew sheet, unable to have the insight into the complexities of new hop combinations or even being adventerous to brew something a little left field! Imperial Russian Stouts at 11.1%, Big hitting IPA's roaring with the juiciest and flavourful North American hops, Dunkels, Helles, Kolsch we've been brewing these for years! Regulars at the bar! Award Winning beers (Usually found at a cracking and well regarded ale house, tavern or coaching inn, and micropubs!) We have these 6 always available beers.... Butter Tubs 3.7% - American Pale Golden Session Ale. Our Best Selling beer, first brewed in November 2005. This Pale golden beer is bursting with gorgeous fruity and light citrus flavours. Askrigg Bitter 3.8% - Traditional English Bitter a.k.a (Rowantree at Red Lion, Cotherstone). Traditional English pale Bitter. Just a clean light bitter finish from the English Sovereign and Bramling Cross hops. The malt combination leaves a biscuit dryness, this is an easy drinking ale that appeals to many palates. Drovers Arms 3.9% - German Dunkel Style - Dark. Brewed initially for Kings Arms, Askrigg now loved by many. Dark and lovely smooth rich malt flavours, the Weyermann Carafa Spezial created a deep flavour without harsh or bitterness. Nappa Scar 4% - Premium Golden Ale. One of the original 5 beers ever brewed back in 2005. This golden ale ticks the box for many, the dark crystal malt compliments the depth of flavours and sharpness from the wonderful Galena and Centennial hops. Just class..in a glass! Muker Silver 4.1% - German Helles Style - Blonde. Brewed initially for The Farmers Arms in Muker. The Muker Silver Band started in 1897. German Helles are clean and crisp. The Premium Pilsner is perfect for this beer style it's quality reflects in the beer. The hop variety provide a noble, delicate floral bouquet. Askrigg Ale 4.3% ABV - Our multi-award winning mini IPA!. Our Golden Ale that is a real favourite with all our Customers. The reassuringly expensive Amarillo hops give a unique incredibly fruity well balanced everyday IPA. A real crisp bite is followed by a deep quality finish on this IPA. 1 of only 2 breweries located in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Others may intimate they are located in this stunning part of the world but few really are. This is our second brewery in Askrigg, having outgrown the original which was located in an old converted Milking Parlour at the top of Pudding Lane. Our new home is the site of Askrigg Station. Askrigg is a delightful, thriving village in the heart of Wensleydale and was made world famous by the television series "All Creatures Great and Small which was filmed here.
